NRMC social media training 201 will feature everything you "should know" about Twitter and NELIS to be engaged in the political process at the state level.
There are only 2 months left and our state legislature is in full swing. We want you to know how to be heard!
Bring your smart phone (iPhone, Android, etc.), iPad/tablet, or your laptop (must be wifi enabled) and Elizabeth will lead us through the in's and out's of both.
Please have Twitter installed and an account (@handle) set up on your device prior to arrival.
Cost is .00 for NRMC members, .00 for non-members.
Refreshments and snacks will be served.

About Elizabeth Thompson:
Elizabeth is the owner of E Thompson Media. She is a seasoned communications and media pro with stellar writing skills and diverse experience across multiple industries. She is a former journalist who is adept at story telling, media relations, branding, social media, public relations, strategic planning, and project management. Often described as curious, teachable, and enthusiastic, she enjoys connecting with audiences and engaging people from all walks of life. And, she is always adept in matters of delicacy and diplomacy.
You may know her as an incurable political junkie (blogger, reporter, editor, analyst, pundit, commentator and curator). She specializes in Nevada politics, which is like no politics anywhere in the galaxy. She is:

- the former host of Vegas PBS's long-running public affairs program, Nevada Week in Review (7:30 p.m. on Friday nights)
- a regular panelist on 91.5 KUNV-FM's weekly public affairs talk show, Our Metropolis (9:00 p.m. on Tuesday nights)
- a frequently invited guest on political talk shows and discussion panels around the state.
The NRMC membership is open men and women of all political affiliations. You can purchase a membership ( for the calendar year 2015) along with your event ticket. Doors will open at 12:30 p.m. for networking and equipment set-up. The training will start promptly at 1 p.m.

Yes. You can update your registration and change the attendee's name using the Eventbright on-line ticketing program up 9 p.m. the day prior to the event. On-line ticket sales and registration changes will close at 9 p.m. the day before the event.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
We will have a report of on-line registrations, however, please bring your printed ticket or email confirmation on your handheld device with to the meeting.

Because of space limitations, there are no refunds for this event.
