Softway Solutions designed and developed the Top Stox app to teach a user to literally play the stock market. Unlike other stock market apps focused on stock tracking and portfolio management, Top Stox takes the stock market and turns it into a game.
All the stock market apps I saw failed to create excitement around the stock market. Theyre widgets for people with interest in the market already. The interfaces are tables and number heavy. They look like terminals. Its no wonder young people think the stock market is boring. So, I decided to make an app focused on learning about the stock market while having fun, Raja Roopnarine, client and product owner, said.
Top Stox focuses heavily on user-experience. By developing two separate game modes Portfolio and DayTrade the app challenges a user in both long and short term stock market strategies. Furthermore, the user-interface design presents a seamless navigation structure, allowing a user to easily switch between gameplay, trending news and managing their personal stock watch list.
Softway Solutions Mobile & Applications Director, Saif Khan said, Programming an app like this requires information pulled from many sources, and needs to be organized in a way that feels like a natural part of the game.
Softway Solutions is no stranger to gamification. They designed, developed and programmed many apps over the past 11 years, including: STEMscopedia for Accelerate Learning and iTooth Jr for Five Star Dentists.
Top Stox is available for download on the App Store.
