Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) December 24, 2013
On January 4-5, 2014, developers from across the globe will descend on the Palms Casino and Resort in Las Vegas, Nev. to take part in the annual AT&T Developer Summit and Mobile App Hackathon.
The AT&Ts Developers Summit is an annual event focused on emerging technologies that provides opportunities for developers to network with top industry professionals and experts. During the summit, developers are invited to participate in the Mobile App Hackathon, a two-day event centered around wearables (or etextiles). Wearables are a special subsection of electronics that involves integrating electronic devices and parts into everyday clothing items.
During the Hackathon, teams will start by pitching their ideas to a panel of industry experts, which will include Nathan Seidle, CEO and Founder of SparkFun Electronics. The best ideas will then get first pick of the parts to build their invention. The teams will have two days to complete their build, with the winners receiving a portion of over $ 200,000 in prizes.
I am excited to play my part as a judge, said Seidle. I cant wait to see how the world of cellular and DIY hardware are crashing together at the AT&T Hackathon.
SparkFun Electronics is an official sponsor of the event and is providing parts as well as on-site support for the competing developers.
