Steve Aoki is a DJ and also the founder of Dim Mak Records, which has counted leading indie rock bands such as Gossip, Bloc Party, the Kills and the Rakes among its stable of signees. The son of wealthy restauranteur Rocky Aoki, he is of Japanese heritage and calls Los Angeles home.
"I'm a time traveling speed reading fortune telling machine gunning gypsy loving scuba diving multi tasking poker playing fan of life. I like playing with odds. My beliefs are radical but I embrace the conservative. I love green tea and believe I was a fish. I love producing music and performing art. My biggest heroes are Bruce Lee and Malcolm X. Be like water by Any Means Necessary. I'm a perfectionist that hates perfection. I am Pillowface and I live in the sky as much as I do on land. Absorb Life. Embrace your passion. Wield it and you will learn to love yourself." – Steve Aoki
Confetti, smoke machines, champagne, birthday cakes, an inflatable raft, and crowd surfing.
It isn't surprising to find all this stuff at one of Steve Aoki's performances. He's known for hyping the crowd up with his crazy stunts. We can't wait for Aoki to dial it up to 11 at ECHOSTAGE for the very first time!
