Sylvias Serenity Sober Living Homes expresses appreciation to No More Poverty and the Omidi brothers for their support. Sylvias Serenity Sober Living Homes offer secure and healthy environments for women and children who need help recovering from drug and alcohol addiction.
According to Sylvia Hernandez, drug and alcohol addiction counselor and organization founder, My purpose is for women with or without children to never have to be homeless. Our homes provide a safe place for them to live while remaining active in their recovery and building a lifelong support system. I am so thankful for the support of No More Poverty and the Omidi brothers. It will enable us to help many women change their lives for the better.
Hernandez is no stranger to the horrors of drug and alcohol addiction. She began her road to recovery only after her children were taken away by the Department of Social Services. Hernandezs own addiction struggles made her realize the great need for safe and nurturing environments for narcotic-dependent women and their children and after years of hard work and dedication, Sylvias Serenity Sober Living Homes was born.
