San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) February 07, 2013
SyncPad announced today the release of SyncPad App version 2, a collaborative online whiteboard with web and iPad applications that allow people to collaborate on sketches, wireframes or PDFs in real-time transforming any tablet or browser into the ultimate whiteboard.
Originally launched in January 2011, SyncPad was the first collaborative whiteboard app available for iOS allowing users to collaborate and share work locally or over the Internet, share with Dropbox and import PDFs in seconds to quickly mark up a document and show it to colleagues across the internet, regardless of proximity.
Now SyncPad version 2 features enhanced text editing, advanced user moderation, authentication and password protection, 256-bit security encryption, fully-featured web browser interface and Android application, transforming any iPad, Samsung tablet or browser into the a powerful productivity tool for real-time collaboration.
Think of this app as the iOS equivalent of synchronized swimming. Every gesture and action on a host iPad shows up on the other iPads immediately, explained Davide Di Cillo, SyncPad CEO and founder. Action on the SyncPad whiteboard is completely fluid eliminating lag on any of the devices, whether they are all using the same or different Wi-Fi networks.
With over 30,000 downloads SyncPad is used by Rutgers University, Bucknell University and the San Francisco Unified School District, the eighth largest school district in California. SyncPads enterprise solutions are used by Riverbed, an IT performance company and DBS Bank, a leading financial services group in Asia with over 200 branches across 15 markets.
In an age where modern mobile devices are becoming a predominant tool for business, educational institutions and personal lives, we wanted to simplify the whiteboard application at an affordable price giving everyone access to teach a class, more efficiently conduct business or simply help a child with their homework remotely, said Di Cillo.
SyncPad works under advisement of some heavy hitters in the enterprise world such as Traver Kennedy, former Chief Strategist and later Chief Evangelist at Citrix Systems where he worked on the development of GoToMeeting and Rajen Sheth, founder of Google apps and Group Product Manager/Business Manager for Google responsible for development of Chrome and Chrome OS for Business. I view Syncpad as a great cross platform, simple to use collaboration tool for education and enterprise, said Sheth.
SyncPad is currently available for free download to create whiteboards that can host up to 3 people (host plus 2 others) connected simultaneously or with a monthly subscription of $ 5.00 you can connect up to 30 devices (host plus 29 others) to your whiteboard. Enterprise account pricing and details are available upon request at http://syncpadapp.com.
