Hope you enjoyed the summer!

As we approach the end of summer both Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8 have been released to manufacturing and should be available on MSDN and the Microsoft Partner website by the time you read this. Hot on the heels of these major OS releases we're looking forward to System Center 2012 Service Pack 1 which is currently available as a CTP 2 download. It's going to be a busy fall and we hope you'll join us to learn all about the new releases.

This month's meeting sponsored by:

6:00 – 6:15 Introductions & Announcements

Please note our new starting time is 6:00. Food and beverages will be provided.

A quick recap of Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8 RTM announcements to help you get started with these new operating systems. We'll also introduce Microsoft's new Private Cloud Fast Track Reference Architecture that can help you get started building your own private cloud.

6:15 – 7:00 Configuration Manager 2012 Application Virtualization
Douglas Henry, Software Logic

Join us as we spend a few minutes speaking about using application virtualization and Configuration Manager 2012. This subject has gone from rarely discussed (and even giggled about) a few years ago to being one of the central discussion points during an envisioning session for CM. We will cover topics just as benefits of application virtualization, how application virtualization integrates with CM, tools required for App-V, a description of the process of sequencing your application, and a nice dose of next steps you will need to pursue this worthy goal of virtualizing applications.

7:00 – 7:30 Altrinsic Solutions DeployExpert and Enterprise Driver Manager

Altrinsic Solutions offers fully automated hardware independent image deployment and migration solutions seamlessly integrated with today's top system management frameworks including Configuration Manager 2012. DeployExpert regularly analyzes all systems in the entire enterprise and distills model groupings in Configuration Manager into classes of systems composed of completely identical devices. Enterprise Driver Manager gives you the ability to completely analyze, standardize, deploy and update drivers on all your production widows systems.

7:45 – 8:30 Group Policy and PolicyPak in Action
Jeremy Moskowitz, PolicyPak Software

You've got a desktop full of applications. And users who love to mess things up.  We help overworked IT administrators like you maintain control of their users' computers with our enterprise Group Policy-based, desktop management software.  PolicyPak keeps working – even if end-users are doing everything they can to mess up their desktops and applications, and ruin your day.  PolicyPak delivers settings to any Windows application, and ensures that those settings are locked down, and consistent – whatever desktop they utilize.
