About the Author

Sonja C. Crawford started writing poems and short stories around the age of 11. The novels started appearing around the age of 27. She is also an award-winning artist using the mediums of oils and water colors. She was one of the three first women who passed the Kentucky auctioneers test. She held at one time a North Carolina and Kentucky Real Estate license, the Kentucky Auctioneers Apprentice license, and the Certified Appraisers license. She studied sign language and uses it in Gospel songs. She was married to E. Ray Warren, and they lived in Kentucky for many years. After his passing, she returned to her hometown and later married Joseph V. Rackes. With Joe, her life became a life of wonder in the Michigan snows and in the beautiful spring and summer. They shared a joy never to be erased, and showing her of what life could be. Joseph or her Joey, as she affectionally called him in the special moments, gave them a special love of sharing. The birds, the bunnies, and Michigan squirrels, sometimes as many as 42 in the backyard. He is now deceased, but she still remembers all they shared.
