Professional Photographers of America Opens Entries to the International Photographic Competition

ATLANTA, Ga. (PRWEB) May 29, 2015

Professional Photographers of America (PPA) is now accepting entries for the International Photographic Competition (IPC).

The IPC challenges photographers to grow their artistic and technical photography skills by creatively capturing and presenting their best images, and by doing so, improving their businesses. The competition is open to all, but also gives PPA photographers the opportunity to earn merits toward photography degrees.

The competition attracts submissions from the best of the best in the photography industry from all over the world and urges others to push themselves to join the ranks of the elite. Last year, nearly 5,000 images were entered in the competition. This years entries will be judged August 3 to 6 at Gwinnett Technical College in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

To enter, photographers submit prints, electronic files and physical and/or digital albums to be judged by a panel of qualified photographic experts. Competitors must designate the category under which each image is being submitted. The four categories include: portrait, illustrative and album (event and non-event).

Submissions will either merit or not merit and are judged against a standard of excellence using PPAs 12 elements of a merit image. Images that earn merits will move on to a second round of judging, which could possibly earn an additional merit and a place in the prestigious Loan Collection. These images are compiled into a book, published by Marathon Press, and showcased in a special exhibit at Imaging USA 2016 in Atlanta. Just over 900 images (roughly 18 percent) went loan last year.

Those who dont earn merits dont have to leave empty-handed; critiques from IPC judges will be available upon request as a way to help participants find areas of improvement and prepare for future photo competitions.

Once photographers get over the initial fear of competition, most keep entering year after year and become better photographers in the process, said Randy McNeilly, PPAs photographic exhibition committee chairman. Even if they dont earn a merit right away, theres so much they can learn. Plus, its a huge confidence boost, not only for the photographer, but also the client who commissions their workespecially once they start to win awards.

Competitors must submit their images by midnight, June 25. Physical print entry cases must be received within seven days of the entry deadline. The judging will be streamed live August 3 to 6.

For more information on submission criteria and rules and how to enter visit PPA.com/IPC.

About PPA:

Professional Photographers of America (PPA) is the largest international nonprofit association created by professional photographers, for professional photographers. Almost as long-lived as photography itself, PPAs roots date back to 1869. It assists more than 28,000 members through protection, education and resources for their continued success. Matt Bacaks Profit Coalition Holds Marketer of the Year Competition

Duluth, GA (PRWEB) May 08, 2015

In the Internet marketing sphere, only a rare few manage to differentiate themselves and achieve noteworthy success. Matt Bacak, a former Internet Marketer of the Year, is one of those individuals. To recognize the accomplishments of other standouts in the field, his exclusive mastermind group, The Profit Coalition, recently held its own Marketer of the Year competition.

According to an October 21, 2013 Fox Business report, small business owners who pay themselves a regular salary are receiving an average salary of $ 68,000 annually, down from $ 72,000 a year ago. In addition, nearly 15 percent of small business owners need to work a second job while running their business in order to make ends meet.

The Profit Coalition, operated under the auspices of Internet marketer Matt Bacak, was founded to help entrepreneurs not only buck this trend but actually trounce it. An exclusive mastermind group, TPC as it is affectionately referred to by its members is open only to highly qualified, motivated and determined entrepreneurs and business people.

To bring out the ultimate of these success qualities, the coalition recently held an Internet Marketer of the Year competition. The duel, which featured three TPC Mastermind members duking it out, took place May 12, 2015 at Bacaks private online traffic workshop. The venue was the private Sugarloaf Country Club in Duluth, Ga.

Going head to head for the title were Matt Stefanik, Temper Thompson and Brian T Evans, Jr. To take home the trophy the same one that is awarded at the Grammys participants had between 15 and 20 minutes to explain why they were deserving of being named TPCs Marketer of the Year. More specifically, they were charged with sharing what their business looked like before they started working with Bacak, where they are now in their entrepreneurial ascent and what they see their in their professional future.

The competition was fierce from the get-go, explains Bacak. Stefanik literally doubled his business last year. Bacak went on to describe Thompson as a 17-year-old Internet marketing whiz kid. This young phenom started making money online when he was 12. Five years later, hes raking in 5 times more money online than the average salary of his high school teachers. And then there is Evans, who has been working one on one with Bacak over the past year. In that timeframe, hes managed to achieve a 2,360 percent ROI.

After each challenger pled his case, attendees of Bacaks online traffic workshop voted for a winner. At the end of the tightly contested race, Evans was ultimately named TPCs Marketer of the Year.

For more information on the achievements that earned Stefanik, Thompson and Evans entry into the TPC Marketer of the Year competition, visit their videos online at http://www.profitcoalition.com/battle/ To learn more about membership into The Profit Coalition mastermind group, contact Bacak at 404-537-1425.
