WUNDERSCH*N UND RUHIG GELEGEN (In a Beautiful and Quiet Location)
(with Jakub Vrba) (2015, 9 min.)
In a beautiful and quiet location is a playful commentary on artistic production of the landscape and the conventions of our perception: landscape as reenactment. (Andrea Pollach, Translation: Lisa Rosenblatt)

CIRCULAR INSCRIPTION (2016, 7 min.)
A mountain range on the horizon separates the cloudy sky from the dusty desert soil of the El Mirage Dry Lake, with the sounds of a distant roar. In the long shot, the gaze shows a detail of the Californian Mojave landscape, whose static panorama forms the referential and also material background for Circular Inscription…Circular Inscription positions itself, not only formally, as homage to the Land Art of the 1960s and 1970s, and produces in the process an ambivalent reproduction of tire tracks, which on the screen, ultimately take on the monumentality of the oversized Earth Works. Remaining behind in the landscape is the image of a temporary sign, a spiral, like Robert Smithson*s Spiral Jetty, or a circle, like the ones Michael Heizer carved in the El Mirage Dry Lake nearly a half-century before as Circular Surface. Planar Displacement Drawings. (Kathrin Wojtowicz, Translation: Lisa Rosenblatt)

LOW TIDE (2013, 4 min.)
A glacier. Icebergs. Floating icebergs. Cold fog gliding through the folds since eras. There is not much to see…(Sebastian Koth)

HIGH TIDE (2013, 7 min.)
Alejandro Bachmann wrote about the work “High Tide“: “The unfathomable, gloomy elegance of this splashing and rumbling landscape painting — the movement of the waves, the circling of the birds, the lifting of the cloud cover — is followed by an arc shot resembling a brushstroke that tells us about everything we have already forgotten while gazing at the static and precisely framed mountain: the world beyond the image.”
TRAILER: https://vimeo.com/82145132

REIGN OF SILENCE (2013, 7 min.)

CAPTIVE HORIZON (2014, 15 min.)
Captive Horizon operates on a delicate line between reality and illusion. Lukas Marxt*s favourite motifs – barren landscapes, seemingly untouched by humans, but at the same time suggestively apocalyptic, and subtle changes in perception that play tricks on the observer – construct a peculiar narrative filled with mysterious angles and twists. (Mirna Belina)

DIAGONALE Trailer (2015, 1 min.)

ASEOHosting Comments On The Recent Confusion Around Asking For Links

ASEOHosting, a provider of multiple IP and SEO hosting, has commented on recent confusion among web publishers and site owners surrounding the practice of asking for links.

Recent comments from Google’s webmaster team, reported earlier this month by Barry Schwartz on Search Engine Roundtable, have introduced uncertainty about when or if it is acceptable to ask other webmasters to add links to a site. ASEOHosting has commented to clarify the permissibility of asking for links, and believes that the confusion largely originates with ambiguous language used by Google in a post on the Portuguese Webmaster Blog.

As is evident from Google’s Webmaster Guidelines, the search company’s concern is to avoid unnatural links links that do not reflect natural editorial processes or the quality of the linked content. Because Google’s algorithms use links as a strong signal of a page’s quality, unnatural links have the potential to skew search results.

“Google is in a difficult position. Because of the obscurity and secrecy surrounding their algorithms, SEOs and site owners minutely parse every word published by the company,” commented ASEOHostings Vice President of Customer Relations, Daniel Page, “Any ambiguity or apparent contradiction will lead to confusion and may result in publishers and SEOs taking actions that are harmful to their site’s search position. However, I think it’s fairly clear that publishers should consider Google Webmaster Guidelines as the canonical source of SEO best practice, regardless of occasional contradictory or mistaken assertions from Google employees.”

As ASEOHosting understands the Webmaster Guidelines, the fundamental issue does not concern asking for links, but the context of the request. For example, asking for links in exchange for money or other rewards is a clear violation of the guidelines.

This is made clear in Google’s revision to the previously mentioned post, also reported by Barry Schwartz, which now states that site owners should “not buy, sell or ask for links that may violate our linking webmaster guidelines.” Asking for links is not against the Webmaster Guidelines. However, seeking to breach the Guidelines by buying links or engaging in link exchanges with the intention of influencing the search engines in unnatural ways is against the Guidelines.

Marketing Automation and Why Businesses Need It Is Discussed in Recent Article From Fannit.com

Seattle, WA (PRWEB) April 24, 2015

Marketing automation is the topic of the latest article from inbound marketing firm, Fannit.com. These online marketing experts address an issue that they run into with both large and small businesses throughout Seattle – the necessity and reasoning behind marketing automation.

What is marketing automation? Their articles describes it like this

At its best, marketing automation is software and tactics that allow companies to buy and sell like Amazon that is, to nurture prospects with highly personalized, useful content that helps convert prospects to customers, and then turn those customers into loyal, delighted fans.

They proceed to explain that this type of marketing automation typically generates significant new revenue for companies, while offering a lowered cost per acquisition. Not sold?

Marketing automation also helps to increase employee productivity by giving one individual the tools necessary to collect and analyze significant amounts of data that would have otherwise required an enormous amount of time from multiple individuals that are skilled in both coding and web analysis. With this type of software, those skills are not necessary and those experts on staff are freed to work on other business projects.

Additionally, marketing automation software gives businesses the ability to bring every aspect of a campaign under one cohesive structure offering a more targeted and organized approach.

Marketing automation software gives you the tools necessary to track and monitor each step of a campaigns process. Tracking your campaign closely allows you to see what is working and what isnt. For example, what CTAs are converting well, and what CTAs are a flop, says Fannit.com.

To learn more about marketing automation, contact Fannit.com to discuss their top recommendations for Seattle businesses.

Recent Study Reveals: Starting an Online Business Is On The Rise In 2015

New York, NY (PRWEB) April 08, 2015

A recent study of 1,000 people by SatoriPrime.com reveals that 34% of people are now running an online home business and 28% are actively seeking opportunities to do the same. An increase of 22% and 36% respectively, of the same time period last year.

There is enormous social and personal pressures to provide financial security for our partner or family. Caring for a families future is no joke especially with the challenges in todays ever complicated global economy.

Fulfilling and providing for loved ones can be incredibly rewarding and gives life much purpose and dignity. Despite how busy or stressful earning money can get, this exchange of value allows many enjoy the finer things in life and the small creature comforts needed for modern-day living.

With the rising cost of living, many parents who have historically stayed at home to raise children or recover from ailments now need to return to the workforce quickly, sometimes prematurely. Either that or they find new means to start earning an income that allows for a more flexible lifestyle. Fortunately for those who would prefer not to return to work, there are many online opportunities now available that allow to make money from the comfort of home.

When considering work at home options, a traditional home business gig might come to mind. While opportunities like these can be legitimate ways to earn a decent income, they generally involve tasks that many are just not happy or willing to do. On top of a start-up investment, they usually involve recruiting, planning parties, holding presentations, making calls and a lot of personal selling to be successful. Unless there’s an inclination towards that sort of thing, persuading family and friends to sign up and buy can often be difficult and cause alienation. A lack of personal enjoyment will usually lead to quitting before results can clearly be visible.

In many cases, theres also some involvement in managing product orders including shipping, deliveries and collecting of payments. When chasing kids, cooking meals, cleaning up, and managing the family budget are at the forefront of the to-do list, these types of business opportunities can become a chore — often taking time away from loved ones versus serving the ultimate purpose of spending more time with them.

Thanks to the internet and some great new tools that have surfaced over the last few years, theres a flexible alternative to traditional work at home opportunities.

The Digital Economy is a rapidly growing global network of people which will double its capacity in less than 5 years from today’s already skyrocketing figures. It’s expected that by the year 2020 that 5 Billion people will be connected online. Further creating massive opportunities to capture even more online global customers and take advantage of growing pockets of internet traffic. With minimal education, it is now possible to take advantage of this surge of traffic with simple online marketing efforts.

To take advantage of this growing opportunities affiliate marketers are lining up to help businesses sell products and services by getting them connected to consumers. An affiliate marketer is like an Internet Middle Man who promotes somebody elses goods or services online via paid marketing. They make money when they successfully connect an online buyer with an online merchant who is already selling what the buyer needs. If a sale takes place because of the affiliate marketers efforts, then they get a predetermined paid percentage of the selling price, also known as a commission.

Theres no need to buy or create products or services to sell as an affiliate, and there are no storage, handling or shipping issues to manage. In most cases, theres no need to deal with customers directly at all, as the sales process happens through a strategically designed website or sales funnel that the affiliate can leverage.

Start up costs are relatively small compared to most traditional businesses (or franchises) and many of the typical expenses such as insurance, liability, overhead and a shop front or office rental simply do not apply. Businesses can be operated from a computer or laptop, and as long as there’s an active internet connection, work can be done from home or anywhere other location with WiFi enabled.

What might surprise a lot of people is that tech skills and experience are not a prerequisite to get started! There is a myriad of step-by-step tutorials, cutting edge apps and affordable business systems nowadays that can almost automate the entire process. Just a few years ago this would have required large teams and many work hours to implement. Today it can be accessed nearly immediately with just a few clicks.

The key is to make the effort to get educated properly, learn the ropes, leverage systems, and set-up strong working foundations for long-term success. This will ensure avoiding time-consuming pitfalls, as well as avoidance of possible schemes or scams.

Whats even more fascinating is that it eliminates the long-held tradition of having to work full-time to make a full-time income. A website thats been set up right doesnt need constant tending, and the internet doesnt close at the end of a business day. Billions of people are online looking for products and services to buy 24 hours a day 7 days a week, and this is why affiliate marketers often make money around the clock, even while they sleep or take leave. Websites and systems are hard at work in the background even when a person is not present.

Now just to be perfectly clear, affiliate marketing does require work and should not be looked at as an easy way to overnight riches. While it’s possible to earn some serious money – when done right – it does take effort and a good work ethic to be successful. People who attempt it expecting instant gratification will almost always fail and set themselves up for disappointment.

Successful affiliate marketers are the ones who treat the process like a serious business and understand that like all real businesses, what you put in is what you get out. With the right education, tools, guidance and mentored implementation, almost anybody whos serious can get it working properly. Earning legitimate, dependable money each week without the need of stepping into an office or having a boss is quickly becoming a reality for millions of internet marketers as they take advantage of the biggest revolution in human history.

An online business can provide the financial security that traditional employment just cant promise. The Internet isnt going anywhere anytime soon, and a nice “side effect” of owning your own business, there’s no risk of losing a job or have concerns when asking for a day off.
