Join the Chicago Urban League for Our nextConnection Technology Series. The purpose of this program is to provide small business owners with technology education that they can utilize to manage their business, take advantage of social media marketing, build customer relationship, manage their finances, and research procurement opportunities.
April 2014: We will focus on front office/ back office management using Google Tools such as Google Docs, Google Calendar, Branded Gmail, Google Drive, and a variety of other Google Tools. Attendees will also learn how to integrate these tools with Microsoft Office and other open source office suites.
May 2014: In April, we will focus on Facebook, Google+, Four Square, and Groupon, and how to utilize them to market and brand your business.
June 2014: In May, attendees will learn about online tools that they can utilize to help them identify contract opportunities with Public Agencies, Prviate Agencies, and Corporations.
July 2014: In June we will focus on financial management using Quick Books, as well as eCommerce solutions such as Shopify, Big Commerce, and others.
August 2014: In July we will discuss Customer Relationship Management. Attendees will get an introduction to Salesforce, and learn how to use online tools such as LinkedIn to create their own customer relationship management systems.
Technology Showcases: Each month, individuals registered for class gets free access to our technology showcases. The technology showcase will be the on the last Saturday of each month, and will feature representatives from technology companies (i.e. Google, Groupon) that will highlight the value of their products to small businesses.
