35,000 Registered Stores:
The number of merchants who have joined TheFinds free Merchant Program has doubled in the last six months, reaching over 25,000 merchants who operate more than 35,000 online stores. Member merchants can optimize their product listings on TheFinds search results pages for free to improve their visibility and grow their traffic from TheFind.com. In total, TheFinds index of searchable online stores numbers more than 500,000.
10,000 UpFront Members:
The Merchant Programs premier members – UpFront Merchants have chosen to display an UpFront button on their homepage which gives shoppers a quick view into vital store information (phone number, payment options, shipping and returns, certifications) that builds transparency and trust with shoppers. This information is similarly displayed on that merchants listings on TheFind.com. Because of the increased transparency, TheFind algorithm gives greater weight to that stores listings in search results pages. The result for UpFront members has been, on average, a ten percent boost in the traffic they receive from TheFind. Enrolling in UpFront is free and open to all verified Merchant Program members.
Announced earlier this year, TheFind is now accepting free product feeds from any verified Merchant Program member. Product feeds ensure fresher and more complete product and store data, with the ability to update price and availability in near real-time. To make the process as simple as possible, TheFind accepts Google Base product feeds. Almost 10,000 merchants are already submitting free product feeds to TheFind.
Getting Found on TheFind:
Launched last month, Getting Found is a quarterly merchant newsletter that shares best practices for online marketing from merchants, partners and industry experts at TheFind. The first issue included suggestions for improving search relevancy from TheFinds CTO and lead search engineer, Shashi Khandelwal; tips on competitive analysis for effective online marketing from Dave Cook, TheFinds senior director of Internet marketing; along with CEO Siva Kumars insights on the coming wave of social commerce.
