Credit cards with high limits are a consumer’s reward for achieving excellent credit and a sterling credit history.
High limit credit cards are especially useful for a number of reasons, and are generally reserved for good-to-excellent credit consumers. This according to the popular credit card comparison website Creditnet.com, who today released its list of the top three high limit credit cards.
Creditnet Vice President Jason Bushey explained one of the benefits of high limit credit cards: “High limit credit cards are valuable because they add significantly to a consumer’s available credit line. This in turn lowers a consumer’s almighty credit utilization ratio, which is a big factor when calculating credit scores.”
According to Creditnet, high limit cards can improve credit scores while consolidating spending. “High limit credit cards allow consumers to put most purchases on one card, making it easier to track due dates and balances,” said Bushey.
Creditnet advises that credit limits vary based on a consumer’s creditworthiness, and a high credit line is never guaranteed when applying for a credit card, nor is approval. Also, credit cards that have high limits are often reserved for consumers with excellent credit only.
