GENERAL INFORMATION

UWM, Invictus, and Elected officials will be sharing their knowledge with leaders in the community, corporate sector, and in the education sector who have the potential to become game changers.  There will be plenty of comraderie, fellowship, and fun.  We will be providing professional headshots and a wide variety of video opportunities.  If you are on this page – and you are reading this – then you are one of them.  Please look at the tickets to see if any of these programs fit you: 

Each group below will take part in an opening assembly highlighted by a live panel on Culture and Politics: 2016 and Beyond with our Notables.  

Mid way through the breakout sessions, we will take a 15 minute break to check phones, hang out, network, and eat some scruptious food.  

After the breakout sessions, we will come together one last time for a closing assembly highlighted with a key note speech (Speaker TBD). 

 

For Electeds & Political Experts

  1. Advanced media training with Local Celebrities like Mike Gouche and Joy Cardin
  2. Advanced networking conversation with Mayor Tom Barrett and Gary Goyke
  3. Advanced public policy and cue de tat arguments with Congresswoman Gwen Moore
  4. Advanced Fundraising tactics and tapping the online market with Dan Einhorn
    • They will have a full professional photo shoot. 
    • Head shot, medium shot, full body shot.
    • They will also walk through a professional press junket to talk about current politics hosted by the Shepherd Express

 

 

For Professionals

  1. Media and Presentation: Social Media, Earned Media, and Authority Branding by NEL
  2. Professional Level Networking with Peter Barca
  3. Politics in Wisconsin led by Chris Larson and the DemTeam
  4. Organizational Fundraising and beyond: State Senator Lena Taylor 
    • They will have 2 professional photo shoots (Natural Background and White screen) 
    • They will also have a chance to be part of a music video – Uptown Funk 

 

 

For Collegiate Scholars

  1. Rhetoric and Presentation with Mayor John Dickert
  2. Organizing and networking with State Assemblyman David Bowen
  3. Campaign Management Panel with Milwaukee Democrat Chairs
  4. Fundraising 101
    • They will have 2 professional photo shoots (Natural Background and White screen) 
    • They will also have a chance to be part of a music video – Uptown Funk 

 

For Youth Alpha Leaders (15 – 17 years old)

  1. Public Speaking 101 led by UWM
  2. Etiquette and Networking 101 by UWM 
  3. Civics 101 by UWM
  4. Economics 101 by UWM
    • They will have 2 professional photo shoots (Natural Background and White screen) 
    • They will also have a chance to be part of a music video – Uptown Funk 

 

   

 

FAQs

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

There is paid parking in the Union lot.  Check street parking and make sure to read signs carefully.  

 

What can/can't I bring to the event?

Please bring a photo ID with you.  Bring notetaking materials or technology.  Also bring your flashy business card and smile.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

No, because this invite is specifically for you. 

 

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, we will have your name on the list if you register online or email us.  

 

What is the refund policy?

There are no refunds.  Once you register, your seat is booked.  Please let us know if you are unable to make it because of circumstances beyond your control and we will attempt to put the seat back out there. 

 

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

No, for security reasons, we need your name to match on the registration.  Please bring a photo ID with you.
