Event on 2013-05-17 10:00:00
Non-Profit Organizations, don't miss this! We have an event designed to help you strengthen any weaknesses in your web presence at a cost that is minimal to you.
Join us on May 17th at ITT Technical Institute (Southfield Campus) for the Web Workbench for Non-Profits. This hands-on training will be broken up into 3 sessions to meet your web needs for a fraction of the cost that you'd pay to hire a web developer or an online marketing expert or both.
FIRST SESSION: For anyone who comes to this session, we will provide hosting, a WordPress installation and all the insights you need to build and maintain your new WordPress website and blog. Learn your way around a WordPress Dashboard and how to add tools that will make your new website serve your organization's needs.
SECOND SESSION: Learn from a seasoned SEO expert what you need to know to improve your on-site optimization so your organization's website will perform well in all relevant Google searches. You will learn best practices regarding "Search Engine Optimization" so you can not only have a good looking website that "WOWs" your site visitor but also attract new visitors, every day, from search of relevant keyword phrases.
THIRD SESSION: Social Media Marketing is not for every company but, as a Non-Profit Organization, it is vitally important that you create various avenues to connect with you donors and volunteers as well as making your mission known to potential donors and volunteers. This session will cover best practices for engaging a social media audience through Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Twitter, among others. In addition, it is important that your blog and website are connected to these different social platforms and you make it easy for people to share your information and articles on their social media accounts. We'll go over how to leverage these platforms and any other means to create dialog with the right people online.
This session will happen on a Friday. Come prepared to "roll up your sleeves" and not only build your website but to build a strong online presence that will truly contribute to the success of your organization and it's mission.
