When did the eiffel tower open to the public (Google doodle)

On March 31th 1889, the Eiffel Tower in Paris was opened to the public. Google celebrates the 126 anniversary of the opening of the Eiffel Tower. Nice Doodle, give it a Thumb Up if you like….

  1. I love this doodle! Thanks to Google for providing it…can you just imagine what it was like erecting this marvel? 126 years ago the construction was done mostly by people, not machines! As a retired construction worker, I have such respect for those people who have built these structure which we still can wonder at! Especially here in the U.S., where it seems that we are bent on destroying so much of our heritage through greed and malfeasance by our corporate masters, even keeping our streets from massive potholes is beyond us now! What ever happened to our being the masters of our own destiny?

  2. I really like this illustration. Does Google give credit somewhere for the artist or illustrator? It took years for magazines to put a small name near the illustrations, it would be fun to see who the artists are who do your images.
