Where2GetIt and Factual Discuss Data Ownership in a Consumer-Driven World

Anaheim, CA (PRWEB) April 14, 2015

Where2GetIt, a market leader in location-based digital marketing offering solutions to more than 500 national brands, today released a podcast about about the future of data ownership in the local search ecosystem. CEO, Manish Patel, was joined by Vikas Gupta, Director of Marketing at partnering company, Factual. The podcast, entitled “Importance of Accurate NAP Data,” is Where2GetIt’s first guest podcast feature of 2015.

Last week Where2GetIt released its Why Small Data is a Big Deal whitepaper, which details the importance of small data and its actionable and digestible qualities. Today, Where2GetIt again highlights small data by discussing NAP data. In this installment of the Local Marketing Circle podcast series, industry experts Manish Patel and Vikas Gupta, address the problem that multi-location brands consistently face: inaccurate location data and why managing this matters.

When discussing the impact of inaccurate location data Gupta states,…the reality is that consumers are taking action off of whatever information they can find and so I think as a brand you would tier: 1. What are the platforms that are driving most of the action? 2. What are those actions out there driving? 3. How do I engage with those platforms to make sure that I am in the best position to capture the actions that I want my users to take? And so, for local search and mapping thats very much getting the core NAP information correct. But also getting the geocode correct.
