Workshop: Making Social Media Work for You

Sarah Kay Hoffman is a wellness and lifestyle blogger and the founder of "A Loving Spoon" nut butters. She'll lead a workshop, "Making Social Media Work for You," on Saturday, March 14 at the Cal State East Bay Oakland Center. Her workshop, targeting freelancers, artists, authors, consultants, and other solo-preneurs, is part of the new Social Media Marketing certificate program offered through CSUEB Continuing Ed.

This one-day workshop will focus on how participants can creatively market themselves using social media. Use what you know to find a job as a community manager, social media professional or use it to market yourself as a consultant, author or independent service provider. You will learn how to prepare a portfolio and resume and determine appropriate Web sites to review and monitor.

Class be held from 9am to 5pm at Cal State East Bay's Oakland Center.
